Art Works for Leanna Arnold

20130130-105624.jpg Leanna Arnold, shown at left with a recent oil entitled “Lighthouse,” is working her art with a 23-painting show at the Owen Valley Winery, in Spencer, Indiana. Her show runs through February 13, 2013. A full-time student at Ivy Tech, in Bloomington, Arnold’s educational goal is to continue her coursework all the way—to a master’s degree in Art Education and a post-secondary teaching career.

Arnold works in three main styles: illustration, abstract expressionism, and surrealism. The oil on canvas shown at right,20130130-112020.jpg entitled “Buckle Up,” demonstrates her current goals: focus, optical illusion, flow, and grid.

Arnold has worked in several mediums including stone, wood, clay, pencil, oil, acrylics, and chalk, and calls herself a constant student and educator.
